The Resource Center hosts community events educating and enhancing the Silver Springs Shores community such as Back-to-School Bash, Health fare; Thanksgiving fiesta; and volunteer Christmas dinner.
BACK TO SCHOOL RECAP
Summer vacation is rapidly coming to a close for school-children and their parents, but not without an opportunity for Silver Springs Shores residents to have one last chance to enjoy a little family fun at the third annual “Back To School Bash.” The event was, in large part, a back-to-school party with generous participation and support from over 30 different community organizations, sponsors, and vendors. The generous and freely donated support of the organizations made it possible for upwards of 400 children and their parents to receive much needed school supplies and to also take part in health screenings, dental exams, raffle giveaways, bounce-house, face-painting, and of course – plenty of good food!

FAMILY EXTRAVAGANZA RECAP
Its time to let loose and enjoy some good ol’ family fun! That’s exactly what we did for our family extravaganza. Families from the community came out to enjoy an evening of games, karaoke, face painting, bounce-house, music, and good food. The family is the smallest unit in a community. If you want to build a strong community, you have to strengthen the families. Our extravaganza did just that! we had both young and old enjoying each other as they engaged is fun, uplifting activities! We can’t wait till the next one! See ya there!
CHRISTMAS TOY DRIVE RECAP
The Silver Springs Shores Resource Center distribution of pajamas during the Christmas holiday season was a success. We thank all the contributors who made the pajamas drive possible.
